well, that doesn't really matter since your obviously implying that it'd be good if you get 3g coverage in/around your home, but when you are in/around your home wifi is available...
so... you're gonna use this app when out and about and you've got as much chance as everyone else that where you're going has a decent 3g signal
got it working straight away - LEGEND of an application
EDIT: the speed actually aint bad on EDGE for simple browsing so i'm well chuffed... bit of a pain the way you have to recreate the network on the mac every single time though... maybe they will release an applescript or something to make it painless
Very glad of it recently. I'm sans-Virgin-Media and it's working like a champ (browsing, downloading podcasts, watching YouTube, all no problem).
A downside is that it seems to murder the battery. I'm charging the iPhone while using it and there still seems to be a net drop in battery charge level!
I got it but its not that good, it allows a bit of surfing which aint too shabby i suppose but nothing else (email, adium etc) works, and its a bit of a pain to set up each time...
however, i am pretty damn sure i've seen mention of 3.0 being capable of "proper" tethering no?
