Bargain.

But, that necking by the holes does concern me and the upright doesn't look to have that great a diameter.

But I don't know how they have been tested, approved etc ;)

All very well getting them for 8 quid, but when you are supporting 20 grands+ worth of vehicle im not sure id feel as though it was something i am glad to have saved on :p

The movable upright looks a little worrying around the bolt holes, possibly under pressure and with movement from the car while working on it, that could crease and fold over...

I bought what looks identical to this from Lidl a few months ago, I tried them out for the first time a couple of weeks ago. The shaft is bigger than the hole they sit in, which leads to quite an uncertain time when dropping the car on to them, but they held the Clio in the air for a couple of days without issue (the rear-of mind, I already had some meatier items for the front).

Not sure I'd trust them to hold any significant weight over my face, mind.

That's my first thought them creasing, i'm a tightarse myself but I think i'd leave them. Be very careful till you're sure of them.

Hope you're not planning on using them on customers cars, should you need to.

I just cant see the need for:

a) the indents around the holes.
b) the diameter of the upright to be a lot thinner than the main body... looks like it can wobble around in there easily.

Yep, as you say doesn't look like they sit flush with the stand.
