Hi guys,

Please find attached a link to a diagram of my network at home

Ive tried to set it up the best way possible but just wanted to check with the knowledgable.

The mac is very rarely used so shouldnt cause much annoyance, the pc is on all the time and shares some files with the pc downstairs and the 2 laptops that connect via the WAP, the xbox is used for online gaming occasionally,

Will the one wire from router to switch handle everything ok??

Thanks for any advice

Lee

cant see why not tbh, i have 1 comp downstairs along with 3 upstairs (my lappy, brothers comp and family comp) and havnt had any bother. oh, and my cable isnt cat5. my brother is on his skype phone all day nearly and my da playin counterstrike < lol (big kid) with no problems

aslong as your main cable connecting the router to the switch is cat5 you should be fine
