It will be cheaper to buy a krone tool (as cat6 should be patch panelled not crimped into plugs) than it would buying a premade cable.

Krone tools are about £3 which will do the job. Most patch panels are colour coded and you can watch a few youtube videos to learn it.

They have quoted me an extra £235 for upgrade to a shield SWA CAT6 cable. Do I need a shielded one as it will be running along the outside wall?

No.

I'd need a really good reason to use SWA for a surface clipped cable. If it's surface clipped it'd shouldn't be difficult to replace even if it did get damaged.
