I know by asking this question, I'm going to be shunned for being a n00b by the Networks & Internet Connectivity regulars...
I've recently moved into a house that's got RJ45 sockets in every room. Brilliant. However, the wires don't have connectors on them at the other end (they all terminate in a cupboard under the stairs).
I thought I'd try crimping them myself but I botched the job. When I tested the connection, only a couple of the numbers flashed up (1, 2, 6, 5, in that order I think). I tried doing it again and got the same result. I understand why this happened - possibly the connectors that I bought aren't compatible with cat6e cable?
Anyway, I think I'd rather get someone in who knows what they're doing to do the job for me. I'm sure the job wouldn't take them more than an hour (there's seven cat6 cables in total). However, I've tried Googling for a networking local service but haven't managed to find anything.
Does anyone know if such a service exists? I live in NW6.

Alternatively, there are many people who can do the stuff you're asking. Although, there is one issue and that is 'Where do they live; near you or far from you?' I can do this sort of stuff (crimping Ethernet Cables and basic cable management). I am only 19 year of age though.
I live 300 miles from you though; it would be a quite long trip for one or two hours to help you. lol
Everything working fine, ethernet to every room!
