Hey guys, just looking into a network camera for at work, a lot of the kids seem to be trashing one of the IT rooms at School on a near daily basis, keyboards destroyed, mice missing, front panels broken etc.. so we are thinking of the posibility of a Network camera to enable us to see whats going on, and hopefully let them know people are watching any bad moves made.

We're not looking for anything too OTT, just something that casn plug into a switch in the network, and be viewed (possibly controlled for panning, too?) by any PC in this office.

Any advice would be great, thanks!

Not always teachers available in a study room, year 12 & 13's are expected to have the maturity needed to not vandalise the rooms. if they insist on treating like they can't be trusted, then they need monitoring!

There are many ways to do it without resorting to pedo cameras...

You quite clearly have no idea what you're talking about if this is the first thing that comes into your head, god knows why it does...

If you are working in a local authority school, you will almost certainly have to run it by them. It's big in the news at the moment and installing them without permission might land you in hot water.

Yeah, absolutely, this is just to get a few ideas of what to go for, its months away, if it even happens, but it was just to get a feel for what people would advise hardware wise, is all!
