Hello peeps.
I'm looking somefairly cheap (£25 ideally, £50 max) quad port network cards for GNS3.
I've looked for the models suggested on the GNS3 site, but have had mixed success:
The D-Link DFE-570TX and 580TX are way above my budget, well over £100 per card.
I found a single Adaptec Quartet64 ANA-62044 for around £45, which have issues with dot1q.
The HP A5506-60102 are £22.50 + delivery, which seem to work straight out-of-the-box. Although they
have a limited MTU of 1500.
I've seen the Sun X1034A cards for £25 on Ebay. There are a couple of problems, most of which
can be sorted. There have been some people claiming that they don't work in a system with more than 2GB
of RAM, and some others who claim to have it working fine in a system with more than 2GB of RAM.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Anybody have experience with any of these cards which they could pass on, or other models for me to
take a look at? Also, my motherboard only has 2 PCI slots. Is there some kind of device which would
allow me to have an extra PCI slot for a reasonable cost (under £50, £30 if possible).
Thanks.
