Hi,

Not sure best place to put this...feel free to move if wrong.

I planned to use my new system for ESXI but the onboard Network cards aren't compatible (Asrock Z68 Extreme 7 gen 3).

I need 3 x Nics - I have one Intel PCI card that I have plugged in and is working and I was going to use 2 x http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=NW-010-IN&groupid=46&catid=1597&subcat=1599.

This is likely a really stupid question...but...can these go into the larger PCI express slot as well as the smaller one? larger one being what is normally used for VGA cards?

I have one VGA card in already but have 3 x more slots available...

Yes.

Depending on the slots you use, and how the PCIe lanes are arranged, you may half the bandwidth to the graphics card (not necessarily a big problem).

You could also look into getting a multi-port NIC.
