Network card is gone?

I disabled my network card and re-booted. The PC crashed in a very dramatic manner with black error screen which started to display but was cut off before it had even finished.

Now having got the PC to start again by changing the SATA port, the network card (onboard) is gone. I enabled it in the BIOS but that doesn't seem to have done it.

Can anyone help?

Thanks

Good idea

No.

Additionally all of my USB 2.0 sockets seem to have been downgraded to USB 1.1 (at a guess). If I plug anything in, it says "this device can perform faster if you connect it to a high speed USB 2.0 socket"

And I can no longer use my USB keyboard before Windows boots (so can't change the BIOS settings anymore). I updated the BIOS just now just to clear the settings, but it didn't change anything. And fast-charging no longer works. I'm back to negligible milliamps :-/

(This thread is unrelated to my other network card thread btw, from a technical perspective)

Thank you! x

EDIT: Aw, it didn't work :-(

EDIT 2: Yay it worked now. I just had to leave it half an hour and switch off the power too (as well as removing the RAM).

PM me your PayPal and I'll wire you a fiver :-)
