Won't the new rig come with onboard networking. Do you need extra network cards for anything else? If you are thinking about these special gaming network cards I'm not sure they are worth the cost for a tiny (sometimes non-existent) improvement in ping.
Onboard is fine for everything nowadays. Killer NICs are a fad. If you genuinely need a NIC for a valid reason then you cant go wrong with an Intel Pro 1000
Oh, I thought I might need an extra network card for improved performance when gaming online. The Killers never entered my mind - stupidly expensive and they have very, very little improvement from what I have heard.
