Network Computer Management, Vista to XP.

Hi,

I'm trying to get Computer Management working, i'm using Vista 64 and i'm trying to edit on a computer running XP Pro SP2.

I'm logged onto that computer as an admin. But I can't access the users, or...anything realy. It used to work using XP connecting to that XP computer.

Has anyone els had this with Vista, do I need a .net pack or somthing?

ive not tested this, but know the procedure you're referring to

we use it all the time here at work to manage VNC connections to our clients computers (starting and stopping the VNC server service remotely etc..)

is it just services you cant get, or is everything empty when you click on it ?

Would hazard a guess at it being to do with permissions... create yourself a user on the XP machine that has administrative rights using the exact same details as your vista logon maybe?

^ I've done that, also added the user on the XP machine to all the groups.
