Network dropping out

Ive set up a very basic network with 4 Pcs with 1 PC acting as a file server. All are hardwired but will all lose connection after a while.

Just wondering if anyone has any pointers I can have a look into to see if I can sort it out?

So far I have ensured the network card cannot be switched off via power saving mode and that they only go into sleep mode after an hour of non use.

Anything else I can try?

all lose connection after a while.

If everything looses connection it's most probably your router/switch crashing.

What router are you using?

Its just a cheap netgear router with wifi built into it. There are a couple of iPads connected to it too.

I think I will get a half decent switch and see if that solves the issue.
