Hello ,

Im running 30 systems in a club all connected to the same server . When they boot up they should run nettime.bat and log into the cafe software then prompt for a password and log into windows . However 15 of them in random positions around the building are now displaying this error message .

" Windows cannot connect to the domain server either because the domain controller is down or otheriwse unavaliable or becuase your computer account was not found ."

I logged into the server to check the accounts and everything seems fine. Can anyone give me any leads as to do with this error message .

Cheers

Darren

Well, as the error suggests that could either be a network problem or a problem with the domain itself.

I assume because you can see the error you can log in. Start with the basic stuff first. Can the computers affected contact the domain controller or any other systems on the network? (just a ping, net view, browse in explorer, whatever, will do)

If they can, it's probably a server-related problem.

Posting information about your network setup will probably help (server OS version, client OS version, firewalls, network setup, etc.)
