Hey guys,

I’ve just bought another machine that I would like to connect to my current network?
The only problem so far is that is too far away from my router to pick up a good signal?

I’ve drawn a picture of my house, don’t laugh :D , I know it looks like a child has drawn it but bare with me.

I basically need to know what I should use in the middle of the house to boost reception to the new PC in the bottom right corner.

Signal in the middle of the house is fine btw.

What do I need? Access point or router etc? Obviously it’s going to need to wireless?

I just need a bit of advice before I buy :)

A Netgear product would be nice too?

Thanks,

SW.

Cheapest option...Are you able to put the Netgear box in the centre of the house and put a wireless card on your existing PC?

Failing that try these a NETGEAR WGXB102.

Assuming the router supports it, a device running WDS in the middle would do the job.
The Netgear DG834G?

I thought extenting the range of your wireless router would be easy :(

I though I just needed to get another router or access point etc?

Cheers,

SW.

Having just moved, I have the same problem!

Has anyone tried a more sensitive antenna to solve this problem? Or perhaps one of those reflectors I see advertised here and there?
