Network File Sharing

Hi there,

I have a network setup for file sharing and I was wondering if I could make it so that when I typed: \\myserver into the address bar on my documents that it automatically goes to the only shared drive on that computer?

Sure there is a way but cant remember, why not just add

\\myserver\file

to your favourites?

you can, add it to your hosts file.

i use it for my router, i.e

192.168.100.1 router

so when i type in the word router into IE it goes to that IP addy (my routers)

where is the host file located?
