My Internal network made up of a Win 2K3 server and 60 2K and XP workstations and several switches has problems. The network is apparently is being flooded with packets resulting in the network slowing right down. Incomplete MAC address!

I run Sophos Enterprise Anti-Virus solution, but this shows no virus activity.

Maybe its a chattering NIC, Faulty Switch or some other hardware related issues.

Please can someone recommend a way in locating the culprit, what method or software can i employ to
assist me with this apparent mamouth task.

Any assistance appreciated.

Disconnect switches and machines and look for it stopping?
You could probably sniff the packets with ethereal and pick up an IP or MAC address.

Incomplete MAC address!

You mean you don't have a complete MAC address or what?
