Having just got a second PC I was wondering if anyone could recommend and decent network games I could play with the missus, preferrably ones which only need one copy of the game to work...

We're going to be playing WoW together, but the internet connection is broken (Damn Virgin.net) for another week or so, and we need something to play together. Was thinking about Diablo2, but I played that to death in the past, and dont really want to buy another 2 copies of it!

Well I guess it depends on your taste in games but the games I've spent ages playing with friends Co-Op or versus are:
SWAT4 - great co-op fun
Marvel Ultimate Alliance - also really great co-op
Trackmania: United - Pretty much endless fun if you're into the genre
Lego Star Wars 1/2 - Also really great co-op (I don't believe you can play it over LAN though)
Command & Conquer: Zero Hour

There are probably plenty of others, but those are the only ones I can think of at the moment... ;)

Those sound good but i'm not sure her indoors will like them! Was thinking of Dungeon Siege 2, is it any good? Also, wasn't there a Diablo clone that came out a few months ago?

I haven't played Dungeon Siege 2, but the Diablo clone might have been Titan Quest, which I did play. That was really fun albeit a bit buggy (might have been patched up by now though).

Company of Heroes can be networked if you like strategy games. Going back to the old school, Civ 3 can be networked(I Think)

Red Alert 2.

Used to play this for hours, each gaem comes with 2 CDs and you can start a game with either one.

Also the original Unreal tournament. Still an amazingly fun game, only needs to be installed to run. Just dont let her get a few easy kills because she will think that she really got them out of skill and is better than you, thats what mine did even though one time it took her about 2 mins to kill me while i ran around the same room not firing back :)

Dump Virgin mate, they are useless. I had them for a couple of years and the g/f had them for over a year. I took me 12 months to get them to cancel my account and the g/fs had serious speed problems with a ping of over 1400 on WOW!! Ive changed to Aquiss now, same £24.99 a month, cracking speeds, great support and a 30GB on peak download limit and a 300GB off peak download limit!

I notice they say Usenet is 'in development'...do they offer access to a newsgroup server or have you heard when they will?

Bontago - except any weapons that move the board (earthquake, anvil, propellor) cause a desync so you have to turn them off :s

Don't know if it will ever see a new version but it's very addictive.
