Realised recently my network set up isn't as great as it could be and want to improve it. It's nothing special so should be easy enough to improve.

Currently have an old VM Superhub in one room serving the PC in there and the house for WiFi and then I have an old Netgear WNR200 in another room wired up to it but this is acting as another network. I've known for a bit it's not great but it's not caused problems but recently I've noticed issues so I want to fix it now.

I'm going to contact VM for a new Superhub but I want to know what's best to put in the other room. In there is a PC and PS4 wired to the Netgear and I game on both so I'd like to still be using a wired connection. I also may add a NAS in there, again wired. As far as I understand it I just want to get an access point or a router with a built in access point mode, this correct?

What are some of my options to sort this out.

Thanks in advance.

I’d wait and see if the wireless on the new Virgin hub covers the entire house or not.

If it does you’d just need to add a network switch in the other room to connect your wired devices.
