Network is unreachable

oky, I must have done something wrong.....

Code:

PING 192.228.79.201 (192.228.79.201): 56 data bytes
ping: sendto: Network is unreachable

hmmm, gateway 192.168.1.254 is set in /etc/sysconfig/network-devices/ifconfig.eth0/ipv4

so why is it saying unreachable?

Any ideas?

nevermind.... it doesn't tell me I had to restart the interface....

./ifdown eth0
./ifup eth0

lol.... sorted it....

whats sudo anyways?

I allways run as root..... (starts whistling)

I'm the only one who logs into the linux server...
And I only log in on a console when I need to install or change something.... so I'll need root....
