Hey all,

Will be moving house soon, and unfortunately there wont be a Sky satellite point in my new room. Because of this, I won't be able to use my Sky+ box anymore and will have to look at some sort of internet-connected streaming device. I won't be able to afford to build a HTPC so I can probably take that out of the equation :/

So does anybody know of a device that can stream live television from the internet to my television?

Thanks in advance all,
wobble :)

Best thing you could hope for is either a on demand box that does iPlayer, 4od etc. I'm unsure but does the youview box work with an aerial and internet or purely via internet? Another option is to use a portable digital aerial to get freeview maybe

What i use at my house is MythTV
Have a backend server close to the Aerial socket
Then i have a Frontend in my other room where i have no aerial.

Depending on what u have already it could be fairly cheap to setup. The server could be any old pc with a tuner card.
and the frontend doesn't need to be a full blown HTPC and could be made pretty cheaply, just need a GPU that can do VDPAU.
