Network monitor that can be minimised to the taskbar?

I'm looking for a simple, hopefully free, program that can be minimised to the taskbar.

When I hover over it, it gives me the current speed I'm downloading and uploading from my computer via my network.

I don't really want a gadget on my desktop.

Networx is exactly what you're after. It rocks.

As well as providing real time speed, it has a speed graph you can open, a speed tracker (which monitors speed v throughput over time, with maximum and average displayed as well as real-time), plus daily, weekly, monthly and yearly charts of your bandwidth usage. It's also free.

Just don't download the very latest version off the home page. They implemented a new network driver which sucks - they admit as much on their forum and are looking at moving back to the old driver in the next release. So instead, grab the slightly older version from HERE.

Could also take a look at netspeedmonitor, though it's slighty different to what you asked.
