Hi there ,

I have a sky router with various wireless devices connected iMac,iPad, iPhone and a couple of Pc laptops.

Now my wife like watching PPlive or PPTV (allows her to watch Asian TV) what I want is some software to monitor the traffic from her laptop to see how much Bandwidth its using not bothered about the download just the upload.

What software can I use on my Mac which will allow me to monitor bandwidth on the entire network not just what my I mac is using.

Doesn't have to be anything fancy just showing upload and down in a graph which could maybe be put up in my top menu

Thanks in advance :)

You can't monitor the bandwidth the rest of the network is using, because the data isn't going through your mac.

You'll have to either find a way of showing it on the router or install something on her PC.

Mmm yeah thought as much, anyone have any experience with sky router firmware? Had a quick look bout nothing is obvious gives you a list of connected devices .

Thanks for the reply

Probably not, the only router I've ever been able to monitor data flow is the Netgear ones that would accept a 3rd part flash of Linux (E.g. WRT54GL)

It's software on her machine only I'm afraid!
