Network monitoring, what do you guys use?

Any decent freebies out there? Manager is looking at Nagios as it seems to be Opensource, then you can pay for plugins etc ...

What do you guys use?

well of sorts, obviously it's an IDS, which I guess is part of network monitoring? Or perhaps not...
