Hi guys

I'm starting the network+ course, but the course provider I have to go through has 2 listed on their site. There is Network+ and Network+(2005), so which is the best or newest course of the two? Where do you sit the exams and is there a particular time they must be set or can you do them more or less any time anywhere?

Thanks for any help guys

Might be worth asking your course provider

Network+ has been around ages, far longer than 3 years, so i imagine 2005 is the updated version but the simplest method of finding out is to ask them :/

Aye i sent them a mail but I know others here are taking/have taken the course so I was hoping they might have a clue :s

Thanks for the info Gilly

Whilst I've no idea about the Network+ exams I'd think twice about taking an exam with the latest update being 2005 as suggested above. Anyone not noticed the huge number of changes since then!

I'd recommend the CCNA, bar being Cisco orientated the basic theory is there and is refreshed regularly to stay up to date.

Yeah I'm aware it's an older exam, however its a very good foundation to go onto the CCNA. I am doing the exam through my company and they have requested that I do this qualification before moving onto others of my choosing. So basically it's Network+, Server+ then onto a CCNA and MCSE. As i'm not paying for any of it and the course is very short (8 - 12 weeks) it isnt really a problem :). My biggest concern is finding somewhere to take the exam around London with relative ease without having to wait months and months to do it.
