I had a network working fine between a windows 7 pc and a windows 8.1 latop, this has now stopped working since I installed a superhub 2, does anyone know of any reasons why this would happen?

Do you mean the machines can't see each other?

Make sure they're both set to 'Home' network type, and not 'Public'

If it was just two PCs hooked together you probably had to set IP addresses manually as there was no DHCP server in the network to do it automatically.

If you did this, you need to set IP config back to Automatic because there is now a DHCP server in your network (the superhub).

What setup did you have before?

I don't really know that much about networks so I can only really say it was just a normal network where you set the workgroup name the same and they saw each other and you could share a printer and files.

The windows 7 machine can see the windows 8.1 but when you click on it to access it it claims it's not there, it gives error code 0x80070035 the network path was not found. The windows 8.1 machine won't even see the windows 7 machine, the settings haven't changed, the windows 7 machine is on home network the windows 8.1 is on private.

No it wasn't two pc's hooked together although I'm beginning to wonder if it wouldn't be easier to do it that way :)
