Network Over Bluetooth

I'm looking for ways to connect my laptop to my home network, I can either buy a wireless router, but I've noticed that my media PC has a Bluetooth connection as does my laptop.

Is there anyway to use this to connect to my home network (the media PC is connected)? What about security if it is possible?

Yes you could use BT, but for general use would be better off getting a wrouter/WAP. To use BT you would setup bridging/ICS on the wired PC which is not difficult to do, but BT is much slower than wifi (3Mbps) and shorter range (10m usually). BT defaults to using encrypted connections.
