Network PC access

Hello again

You will probably be getting a load more of these posts from me as I've just joined the lovely world of OSX

Just a slight issue though, on a windows machine when accessing the network you can browse the root of a networked machine by doing:

\\machinename\c$

I can access the machines fine from the Mac but only the folders that are shared.

Is there anyway I can see the root of the windows hard drive via some script or something? Or am I missing something completely obvious that's staring me right in the face?

can you not just put the c: on share..or am i missing something?

Forgot to mention I don't really want to share out the whole C:\ drive...

Sharing it at home and I know I can restrict access and all but also use the 360 for sharing..

Just wondered if there was another way around this if possible

Turn off simple file sharing and password it?

Though, I never knew you could browse the root of a shared drive in Windows even if that particular folder wasn't shared.

Simple file sharing is switched of which is why you can browse the root of the c$ drive...

It might not even be possible but was just wondering
