I currently cant connect to my router using the onboard network port of my mobo. I have been doing so every day for ages now but today it seems to have given up.
I have replaced the cable so there is no problem there.
I have another computer wired to the router so I know thats fine (and have tried diff ports etc)
You know the tiny activity& power lights actually on the port? well, they come on, and then all the sudden die. and then will come on again, maybe flicker and just die. this is not stable enough for my computer to connect to anything and i constantly get the "network cable unplugged message."
i have tried reinstalling drivers etc, but no changes. have removed network controller from device manager and reinstalled but again no change.
do i just accept that this has died? its a bit of a worry that its gone - I hope the rest of my mobo isnt about to die?! I'm currently connecting through a USB wifi dongle which is nowhere near as fast.
