Hi,

I have a Mac Mini (2Ghz Intel) connected to my Netgear ReadyNAS. Attached to the ReadyNAS,via USB, is my Epson C1100 laser printer.

All worked well until I updated the OSX to Snowleopard.

Now, each time I attempt to print from any software (Word, Safari, Chrome etc.) I am told the printer is PAUSED.

This never happened before. I have tried deleting and re-installing the printer but with no luck.

Any ideas chaps?

Thanks in advance

I've had a very similar problem when I was setting up a print server using CUPS. The problem was due to the EPSON drivers only supporting USB

1. Delete the printer (optionally, if you only have this printer press Shift+Cmd+Right-click in the Printers list inside Print & Fax then select Reset printing system...)
2. Download and install Gutenprint for Mac OS X
3. Install the corresponding CUPS+Gutenprint driver for the C1100 with the required ReadyNAS settings
4. Done

Hope that helps :)

Hi,

Thanks for the suggestion.

I tried downloading and installing Gutenprint as suggested.

This went well. However, on looking at the list of supported printers mine, an Epson C1100 Aculaser was not listed.

Help - please!

Thanks in advance ;)
