network problem help please

I have 3 computers connected to my netgear dg384 router sharing the internet.my computer and my laptop and my moms computer all connected using network cables straight from the router.This has been all up and running for a few months now with no problems,but today around 2 hours ago my mams pc decided to be a pain.The the network status just keeps saying limited or no connectivity and the light on my router which is for her connection is amber flashing.I try hooking my laptop to her cable and works fine,put cable back on hers and its still giving me this limited or no connectivity and when trying a web broswer it says offline.My mam said she might of hit reset while the pc was on by a mistake instead of shutting it down.I have tryed putting ip and dns ect in manualy but still get the same error.Also when i check network status on that pc is has my internet ip and it has lan ip ect but no dns.It keeps saying cannot retrive network ip also.

Any ideas people?

damaged cable to your mums pc?

dont think so because i tryed my laptop on that cable and it worked fine.

ok next idea would be to shove a spare PCI Network card into the machine and see if that works.

i left moms pc off last night and when i tryed it today it connects to the internet fine now,only thing is now the light on my router is amber for her connection.I think the pc wasnt getting a correct ip from my router but it is now.
