Good evening good people, haad infinity installed today okay so far but, when tried one of my other computers networked through a belkin 8 port ethernet hub the download speed goes from 37mps to 3mps but upload stays at 7mps, can anyone help me please/ networking and routers are my nemesis, thanks in advance

Ethernet HUB? Or switch?

If it's a hub it could quite well just be garbage network equipment causing no end of traffic collisions.

thank you for your quick reply, what i do not understand, prior to yesterday on my be connection it worked fine. with the home hub 3 infinity it exhibits the problems i poateed before. it is a belkin f505131-8 v3000uk 10/100 and thank you again, regards

sorry for the inference, they are not all mine. just working on them. what i do have two towers, ethernet tv, blueray player, freesat box and a ps3. i cannot face keep on connecting and unplugging each and every time. thanks in advance

That's nice.

Take the switch out of the equation and try again.

+1 - answer the question. The switch might have gone faulty or who knows what until you temporarily disconnect it and just use one PC directly connected to whatever the switch is connected to you won't know whether its that or not.

Fault investigation - all a matter of trial and elimination - elementary my dear chap.
