This is the strangest problem ever. I have two computers connected to my router either via ethernet or wireless. Problem is once I enable the devices on one of the computers (no matter if its ethernet or wireless card) it totaly kills my router (I.E makes it unresponsive). Blocking the other computer from doing anything even renewing dhcp or getting on the web interface of the router.
If I disable the card again everything works on my other computer again immediatly. I have tried just about everything I can think of changing ips/dhcp to static etc.. nothing seems to help.
From looking at my router stats,
Good Rx Frames 18565966
Overruns 18128670
There is a huge amount of overuns, could these be flooding the router?
Now since this happens with either ethernet or wireless card - Im doubting its the card drivers, however it could be the networking stack in the OS has somehow been corrupted?
I have tried using different wired ports on the router, and this laptop im using connected to it at the moment is working fine. So I doubt it is the router either...
The router is a dlink-g624T.
I think I am going to have to experiment with a livecd and see if the problem is OS related or not. The strange thing is everything was working fine this morning and nothing has changed since then.
If anyone has any ideas it would be helpful
Regards Alex.
