Network problems.

Well my internet seems fine or at least ok. When i turn my macbook on it connects to the network, but when i hit internet its taking a while to connect if it connects at all. Now thinking the internet was slow i tried logging into the router and it took about 10 seconds to log into the router. Now my mac is in the living room and the router is in the hall which is about 2 meters away.
Now i did have the router in the living room and had similar problems but after a while it seems to clear.
Any idea's whats causing this??

Try the connection on another machine, one that works such as a PC.

Yeah there all the same, takes ages to connect. Left it for a while it all seems fine now. But it goes ok for a while then i will have issues again. Not to worry in just over a week i shall be getting a new modem and router with a new provider so hopefully this will sort issues.
