equipment:
netgear dg834g router
netgear wg102 x2

i have a netgear dg834g router which is connected to one of the wg102 routers
by ethernet cable. then the other wg102 switch has been converted into repeater mode and the cable connecting both the wg102 switch and then 'now repeater'(wg102) has been disconnected and its now working via wireless and the power supply.

not sure if ive confused you with that setup but basicaclly the router is connected by cable to the switch (wg102) and then thats connected to the repeater wirelessly. it works! But my question is how do i get the netgear router and switch to work wirelessly? is that possible?

perhaps a drawing of the equipment you have currently connected, and a (proper) explanation of what you want to achieve might help?

sounds like you have a 2-3 routers and you want to use one router to connect to the internet and provide wireless, and then you want to use the 4 port switches built into the routers to extend the network provided by the first router - both wired and wirelessly?

Firstly the Netgear Wg102 isnt a router its a Wireless Acces Point.

Secondly what you have written makes no sense what so ever.

You want to use the Wireless functions on the Wg102 devices and the Dg834g?

Its sounds like you have setup a WDS/Bridge between the Wg102 AP's and connected one of them using a wired connection to the Dg834g router/firewall.

Then you would like to use the wireless functions of the router as well?

Make any sense?

sorry about that. I will give you a 'propa' explaination later today. Before lets say i was slightly confused AND tired.
