Hey, Thanks in advance.

Right, I want to set up a network with my pc and my sisters downstairs.

Both have a "Belkin Wireless G desktop Network card" which is PCI

Installed drivers on both machines.

I try to set up a network in windows, and this is the problem I have, it says that the network card is disconnected... when it is clearly in. It happens on both machines, however, I did have this network perfectly working (Ad - hoc) and internet sharing before I formatted both... I cant think what the problem is . I know it is conencted, as it comes up in device manager as "Belkin.."

Please help thanks.

Is there anything other than Windows to set up a network or something? Thanks. - Programs etc.. Thanks!

In affect i need the following : "Ad -hoc network, with internet shared.. I have the modem plugged in".

Thanks! :)

Maybe set a static IP address for the PC without the modem and make it different to what the other one is normally assigned as maybe they are both trying to use the same address.
IIRC you need to then bridge the connections.

Is the network cable you are using a crossover?
