i currently have BY broadband and the modem is connected to my befsr41 router(wired, no wireless). Connected to that i have my Dbox2, xbox and main computer. This leaves me with 1 empty port.

I also have a Dell laptop which has a built in wireless network card and i was wondering if there was something that i could plug into the empty port so that i can use the wireless from the laptop. Or is it not that simple and i have to renew my router to one with a built in wireless conection.

TIA.
Gav.

(new to all this wireless stuff)

Cheers matey, i kinda thought that was what i needed but i would rather ask and be sure.

Or replace the router with a Linksys WRT54GS, it's a much better router and IIRC they only cost a couple of quid over a WAP54G.

You can add 3rd party firmware to boost the WiFi power, have QoS etc., and it means one less box.

Edit: £44.59 inc. VAT for the WAP54G vs £53.99 inc. VAT for the WRT54GS from OcUK - I know what I'd have ;)
