Having some trouble with broadband setup and network at work. The modem is an adsl Thomson Thomson 585v8 router. We have been provided with a single public ip and it's non-nat.

Only way to connect to this router is to manually enter ip details on one computer, nothing else will connect to this router. Which seems to make having a router entirely pointless if we can only connect one device to it! Is there any way that this can be changed so that we can connect multiple devices?

Thanks

It's disabled by default by the isp, tried enabling it but didn't make a difference, router still wouldn't provide ip addresses.

Tried that but it just defaults to what it is already set to! And ISPs intructions say to connect to router you have to manually enter the ip details! Just seems a bit backwards!

That's what I thought, never came across anything like this before. It's business broadband with demon, probably would have helped if the boss asked me first before signing up!
