Hi all,

How does everyone keep tabs on their home network in regards to management of devices? I used to have a Netduma router but the OS became unusable due to age, it was great for me checking on devices downloading/uploading etc. I miss that, for example, I am on Warzone right now and it's lagging, I found out it was my daughter uploading to onedrive, my Netduma would have told me this, my current bog standard TPLink router cannot, my Unifi device gives me some info but only the devices connected via wireless.

Is it time to purchase a new router with dumaOS?

Thanks,

If you have all the Unifi components it gives the stats on the wired clients too.

Failing that I really like the reporting in Untangle.

Get a Ubiquiti Router with Smart Queue!!

It prioritises gaming and voip traffic on the fly. I was going to buy a Nighthawk with NetDUMA but it appeared to be able to only priortise one pc. As well as myself, my partner plays online, both our sons play onlinre and everyone uses netflix and youtube of course.

It doesn't matter who is playing, who is streaming or on what devices, the router sorts it out. This makes it a better solution than the Nighthawk and about 1/5 of the price (excluding the modem).

The only downside is that its just a router/firewall, you need a separate modem and a separate wifi access point.

I bought a Draytek Vigor modem but you can get a cheap used modem, and you can use your old router as a wifi access point.
