Network storage

Hi,

This is a well trodden subject but I still cant seem to find an answer.

I need some advice, I have a small wireless network, through a netgear dgn834n router. My internet connection is downstairs and my study upstairs.(main pc printer)

I need the following:

A backup for my increasing amount of data etc
I would like to free up my main pc from storage duties so it can devote itself to gaming.
I would like to access my files away from home, ie via internet.
Having a print server would be good.

It seems a NAS setup is the solution, but I dont know whether the enclosed variety + hdd or all in one eg disk station/link station are my best solution.

Any advice please?

take a look at the synology range, they cover all the bases that youre looking at. They need a drive but by going this method you can upgrade if needed further down the line.
