Hi
I have the internet in 1 room.

I want to take it to another 2 rooms, currently the wires go directly into the other rooms and connect to the PCs

I wnat some of those wall outlets (bit like a BT master socket) - where the network wire goes into a room and stops somewhere wiht a box o nthe end. The there is a seperate wire fro mthe box to the PC

What exactly do I need and is it dfficult to connect the network wires to these boxes? or is it similar to connecting an RJ45 socket o nthe end - do i lose any quality by braking up the cable into 2 bits?

cheers

you dont loose any quality

All professional network installs have patch points. You will need 1 short patch panel lead from the PC to the point in the wall, then chop the end off your current wire to wire it into the patch point.

Its very similar to wiring an RJ45 socket into UTP cable (unsuprisingly)

To do it, they usually come in 2 parts, the actual cable module itself, and the face plate that mounts on the wall (looks like a light switch plate, but with a hole in it)
