Network/Wifi issues?

I'm currently having a bit of an issue with download speeds on my computer, my main computer has the following adapter:

Which is the Asus PCE-N53 300Mbps Dual-Band Wireless-N600 PCI-E Adapter.

I bought this less than 3 weeks ago, so it works fine and all that jazz. But I did a speed test on my computer last night and I'm getting no more than 20mb, no matter what, bear in mind I'm actually on BT Infinity 60/20, I went ahead and did that same speed test on a laptop that I've rented out from University and I was getting 60mb download speeds, now I have no idea why this is and quite frankly I am a little annoyed, any ideas at what could be going on?

Try the latest drivers

Wifi isn't ideal for transfer speeeds; it's more of a solution to create a working connection. Can't beat good old cat5e cable for a home network.*

Already updated to the latest my man! I can't have a cable connection here at uni i'm afraid, at home I can, but here, not so much.
