i have a network with 2 wifi cards and a router. Could i use a cable to the router instead via my onboard LAN? How do I do this? thankyou

i can only get my wifi card to work i cant use the cable for some reason any ideas?

i plugged the cable in and it says 1394 connection i assume this is the cable thats connected to my router? but im still connecting via my wireless connection?
