so my idea is to have a network wall socket near the router with cables then going to each room (hidden) and finishing at wall sockets.
1. Can I use flat cat 6 patch cable for this?
2. If so - is wiring/connection same as normal round cat 6 cables into socket?
Thanks

so can I do anything with patch cables to increase how I can punch down on faceplates or maybe better to terminate them through a brush plate straight in to router?

they've already been run under floors before I realised I was better with normal cables. it is a short term solution as looking to sell property within 2 years but of course need a working solution in the meantime.

I’ve got a internet switch wall socket with 4 plugs next to router. I’ve run two wires to living room and 1 to each bedroom. 3 out of the 4 wires are the flat patch cables and the fourth is normal round cable as I already had that lying around.
My idea was to plug router to sockets and then on other end into each needed device.
Sorry no pics at present as I’m not at property.
