Networking Card?

OK, so I've just built my new pc and its all up and running with windows 7 64 bit on it, so I'm now looking for a way to connect it to my router. My pc and router are in different rooms so I will need a network card or the like to connect them. I was wondering if anyone could recommend a Windows 7 64 bit compatible networking card for around £10 - £20. Thanks in advance.

You've built a new PC that doesn't have onboard Ethernet? Are you sure? What motherboard did you use? Or did you mean a wireless adapter?

I guess so... I'm new to all this but when installing windows and I couldn't connect to my router and the message seemed to imply there was no wireless connector or whatever you need to connect to the router. The mobo is a Asus P8Z77-V LX Intel Z77. Thanks for your help.

You should have an ethernet port on your mobo.

For wireless use a TP-LINK TL-WN951N.

yes my mobo does have an ethernet port. That wireless do-da looks good. Will it be compatable with windows 8?

if you want a lot faster than wireless try powerline kits out.

Depedning on your houses wiring i get 120mb/s from my 500mbps powerline kit.

Wifi gets about 40mb/s i think
