Bought a new router but due to not reading up more on it, I purchased a model which does not have a built in modem.

The router in question is a Linksys WRT54G-TM

Now, I currently have a D-Link DSL G624T.

Can I set the Linksys router to run off the wireless from the D-Link and hook the Linksys up to my PS3 by ethernet?

don't think so. If you don't have a modem you can actually use the DLink as a modem.

Turn Off DHCP, give the WAN port on the linksys an IP close to that of the Dlinks LAN ports and set the Linksys IP to be DMZ or "default server" on the Dlink. This basically has the effect that all traffic is dumped to the linksys and the linksys does the router bit and the Dlink becomes a glorified modem.

Ok, managed to get into the Linksys settings.

Can anyone guide me through what Skidilliplop has suggested please?

Doing this now so any help appreciated.
