I have been having a network problem at work. I have expanded the wireless network by adding 3 more access points. One of the network cables had some damage so I had it replaced. Each time I connect the access point to the network the network drops and I lose the local network and net access. I have checked and rechecked all the access points and each has been assigned it's own ip address. I Also bought a tester, the new network cable tests fine. I have tried other access points on the network cable and the network still drops.
Any ideas? I'm a little clueless as to what to try next. I have tested the access point which works fine and the network cable tests fine but does not work. I am pretty sure its the network cable but it will be costly to replace again as it is about 75metres of external cable.
