Networking over powerlines, but with wireless power?

and was thinking, right now my computer is networked through a power socket, so I was wondering would they be able to eventually merge this networking over electricity with wireless energy? Im gonna go star trek and think so... interesting stuff - wonder what kind of speeds there'd be

I didnt think that networking over power worked beyond a transformer, and the idea of the wireless power thing is just moving apart the components of a transformer. So it wouldnt work.

The problem is when you talk to sparkies. I have an issue in my house where i have 2 rings, one for upstairs where my PC is and one for downstairs where my server is. Obviously these are 2 seperate rings so the powerline kits are useless (i'd hope

).

Also, inline networking has very poor speed at the moment.

Didnt Tesla perfect wireless power 100 years ago btw?
