Hi,

I'm having some problems with a couple of devices talking to each other. Here is what I have...

DG834G - 192.168.0.1
PC1 ( wired to DG834G) - 192.168.0.100
WET54g - 192.168.0.226
Unix Workstation( wired to wet54g) - 192.168.0.5

From the Unix workstation I can ping the WET54g and the DG834G but not PC1.

From PC1 I can ping DG834G and WET54G but not workstation.

The default router for the Workstation is set to 192.168.0.226 and the gateway for PC1 is set to 192.168.0.1.

I'm looking for some ideas on how to get the Workstation to talk to PC1 which is what I really need. I'm thinking that they might need to be on different networks?

any advice appreciated.

Dave

try adding these setting it will work better

use the following IP address:

IP address: 192.168.0.x ( change the x from 3 to 255 as that will be the pc number)

Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0

Default gateway: 192.168.0.1 ( router login ip )

Preferred DNS server: 192.168.0.1 ( router login ip )

should look somethink like this:

also make sure all pcs use the same workgroup: ie somethink like MSWORKS

good luck
