Networking with XP/Vista

I have a very simlar problem; it is quite weird.

I have a laptop(vista), a pc(xp) at home and a pc(xp) at work. My network is as follows;

home pc - 192.168.100.1
home router - 192.168.100.254

work pc - 192.168.200.12
work router - 192.168.200.254

At home, my vista laptop cannot conenct wirelessly to my home pc.

But the vpn connections are fine.

I have tried many differant security and network settings and also the follwoing ...
Run secpol.msc
Go to: Local Policies > Security Options
Find “Network Security: LAN Manager authentication level”
Change Setting from “Send NTLMv2 response only”
to
“Send LM & NTLM - use NTLMv2 session security if negotiated”

Does anyone have an idea what it is I ma doing wrong here? :confused:
