I was looking to upgrade my 1080ti , but just a bit lost with all the different cards out there and sadly most of the threads in this section seem to be rather toxic.
I have a 5600X and a good 1000w PSU.
I struggle with frame rates on Red Dead 2 and MW2 on my 34 inch ultrawide @1440p.
I was looking a a 4070ti, as this seems to give me a 100% improvement over my 1080ti, but was just looking for some help.

Tonight I managed to pick up a used 3080 from someone local to me, who was no longer using their pc - they bought it during covid times and haven't used it for a year or so.
Got it for a great price and is a decent card from what I can see.
MW2 now runs above 100fps mostly from the initial couple of games, good enough for me

I have 32GB, I do not have an nvme, only an SSD. Does that make much of a difference?
I have 2933, as I used to have a Ryzen 2600 and the max memory speed for that was 2933, so that is what I bought.
I did think that memory speed did not make much difference really, but I may be wrong.
I may look to get a 5800x3d, but at the moment my system seems pretty happy with what it has for what I use it for.

Is a shame to see more arguing and pointless posts in this thread over things that don't really matter and people discussing what an expression or word actually means.
